Why Peanut Bark Might Be Your New Go-To Snack
Years ago, we were on a long road trip.
You know the kind. Middle of nowhere. Gas tank getting low. Stomach starting to growl.
We pulled into a gas station and stood in front of the snack aisle. Chips. Candy bars. Neon coloured things in plastic wrappers. Everything looked quick and convenient. Everything also looked like it would give you a sugar spike and then a crash about forty minutes later.
We remember thinking, wouldn’t it be nice to have something that actually tastes good… but doesn’t leave you feeling worse after?
Something simple with real ingredients. Something that could sit in the glove box and still feel like a good decision.
That idea stuck with us. Peanut bark grew out of that exact thought.
We start with our famous three ingredient dark chocolate:
Cacao beans
Cacao butter
Local honey
That’s it.
Then we add dry roasted peanuts. No added oils or coatings. Just roasted peanuts that bring a clean crunch and a bit of protein to the mix. And we think what makes it work is the balance.
The honey softens the dark chocolate so it’s smooth, with the perfect amount of sweetness
The peanuts add substance and texture. (we love that crunch)
The combination feels satisfying without feeling heavy.
It’s the kind of snack you can:
Toss in a bag for a road trip
Keep in your desk drawer
Pack for winter activities
Set out when family gathers
It travels well. It holds up. And it actually tastes like something you would choose on purpose, not just grab out of convenience.
We did not set out to make a “health snack.” We just wanted something we would feel good about reaching for ourselves. Something small batch and made with care. A snack with ingredients you recognize. Over time, it has quietly become a lot of people’s go-to.
If you are looking for a dark chocolate snack that feels indulgent but grounded, peanut bark might be worth discovering for yourself.
You can find it at select local retailers. In fact just hit this button and you'll see the list:
P.S. Break it up over vanilla ice cream sometime. The crunch with the smooth chocolate is surprisingly good. (Just trust us on that.)
