Our Purpose - Why We Do What We Do
The Purpose
We like chocolate, you like chocolate… but you know what we don’t like? Refined sugar, unnecessary additives, milk powder, abusive multi-quadrillion dollar companies that mistreat cacao farmers, and the list goes on.
We set out to make a sugar free, gluten free, healthy chocolate bar that involves none of these things. In the process, we discovered how to make truly good chocolate. Fair warning, once you try this stuff it’ll be hard to go back to other chocolate bars.
We pride ourselves in the fact that our chocolate is ethically sourced. All of our ingredients come from distributors that work directly with cacao farmers or local cooperatives and guarantee fair pricing, and honest treatment.
Oh, and you can just forget about ‘polyglycerol polywhats-it-called’ and all the other ingredients you can’t pronounce. You want to know what our ingredients list looks like?

But why do we use honey in our chocolate when everyone else is using refined sugar? For starters, honey is better for you. It’s chocked full of vitamins and nutrients, and has antioxidizing effects. The stuff is literally made of bee’s enzymes, so if you’re like us and have problems with refined sugar, honey will satisfy your sweet tooth and likely digest much easier.
Honey also has a very unique taste which helps to add to the depth of our chocolate’s flavour.
And the cherry on top - we source all of our honey from local farmers here in rural Saskatchewan. So in addition to supporting cacao farmers in southern countries, you’re supporting local bee farmers here in Canada, and you’re doing it all while supporting your own body!
